Who is Qian Daxin?

Qian Daxin was a historian and linguist of Qing Dynasty China, who served as a commissioner of education and examinations in Guangdong Province.

Examination of Variances in Twenty-two histories. Internal Consistency Instead of criticizing the government, the focus was on review of official books and archives.

As the proponent of kaozheng approach, Qian Daxin criticized moralizing interpretations of the Chunqiu and argued that the importance of history should be deemed as valid as importance of classics.
