Who was Abel Botelho?
Abel Acácio de Almeida Botelho, born in Tabuaço and deceased in Argentina, was a Portuguese military officer and diplomat, but distinguish himself as a writer. In 1911, he took part on the commission which chose and approved the draft for what would be the current flag of Portugal.
