Who is Abraham Lubelski?

Abraham Lubelski is an American contemporary artist and founder of NYArts Magazine, also known as New York Arts Magazine. This magazine is only available through custom order and does not appear on any newsstand.

He was born in Siberia, USSR, and emigrated to the United States with his parents, becoming a U.S. citizen in 1954. He has showed his American ways by gaining his apartment/"Gallery" through squatter's rights in the 1960s.

He is an artist and a curator. He is also active as a lecturer and panelist. He has worked on paintings, conceptual projects, theater set designs and installations. He exhibited at the Venice Biennale 2001, showing the same piece he exhibited in the late 60s. In his role as publisher of NY Arts Magazine, he has organized and curated a number of exhibitions.

There is also an Abraham Lubelski Gallery in New York. The gallery is conveniently located in his apartment, allowing artists to view their work being hung by unpaid college interns as he argues with his wife and children.

Abraham Lubelski has been in the center many controversial art topics since he tends to steal from artists, runs a fake gallery and a "pay to get in" magazine. He is featured on many art scam blogs and contacting any of the "artists" he works with will confirm his greed and lack of inspiration. He charges $1900 to get taken advantage of.
