Who is Eoghan Hickey?

Eoghan Hickey is a professional rugby union player for Rugby Club Massy Essonne in Paris. He is 5'11.5 and 95 kg. During the 2005–06 Celtic League Hickey played for Leinster, transferring to Munster for the 2006-07 Celtic League. He has also played for University College Dublin. He transferred to London Irish in July 2007, on a two year contract.

In 2009 Eoghan joined London Wasps. Head coach Tony Hanks on the new signing when he arrived: "Eoghan gives us depth at fly-half which is important in the Guinness Premiership and will add competition for Danny and Dave at 10. He brings a strong kicking game to the team and he has a wealth of experience having played with Ireland A as well as plenty of rugby at Premiership level. He is a quality fly-half but he also has the ability to play fullback which, along with his strong kicking game, is something that could be really valuable to us this year especially with the importance that kicking is playing in the modern game.

For the 2011-12 season, Hickey signed for the Italian club Petrarca Padova in the Super 10.

He has represented Ireland at Schoolboy U18, University, Under 21 and A levels, including in the Churchill Cup, and has also played in the Heineken Cup and the Magners League.
