Who is Fu tong wong?

Fu Tong Wong, is a Chinese-American musician/composer currently residing in Taiwan. Wong was born in Panyu, Guangdong, received musical training at Guangzhou College of Music and spent several years at a cultural camp during the time of Cultural Revolution. Fortunately, he managed to move to the United States and obtain his M.M. from Kent State University in the late 70's. He studied violin under Si Hong Ma, Albert Markov, and composition with Walter Watson, Ji Ren Zhang and others. He currently holds a position at a local girls college as an associate professor. Wong is probably as much of a writer as he is a composer and has published several books. He is a huge fan of Jin Yong and has spent much of his life combining the strengths of Western and Eastern music, as well as making Western classical music more understandable and accessible to the general Eastern audience.

The compositions of Wong has been critically acclaimed and played worldwide, such as in Vienna, New York, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Xiamen, and Taiwan.
