Who is G A Lawrence?
G A Lawrence, author of "Guy Livingstone" quite innocently accompanied Edward Brydges Willyams (all expenses paid) on his carefully orchestrated visit to the "Emma Silver Mine" in Utah and wrote "Silverland", for which he recieved an advance of 1,000 guineas from the publishers Chapman Hall. Willyams and Lawrence were carefully kept away from all local contact at Salt lake City and other places near the mine to avoid local gossip.
