Who was James Mill?

James Mill was a Scottish historian, economist, political theorist, and philosopher. He was a founder of classical economics, together with David Ricardo, and the father of influential philosopher of liberalism, John Stuart Mill. His influential "History of British India" contains a complete denunciation and rejection of Indian culture and civilisation.
