Who is Marvin R. Ellison?

Marvin R. Ellison is president of the Northern Division for The Home Depot. He joined the Company in 2002.During this time he has held several officer positions including senior vice president of Global Logistics, vice president of Logistics, and vice president of Loss Prevention. In 2005, Marvin was senior vice president of Global Logistics for The Home Depot. This included all Domestic Distribution, Transportation, Store and Appliance Delivery, Import Distribution and International Logistics for the Company.Marvins team was responsible for the logistics functions within the United States, Canada, Mexico, China and over 35 additional countries. With an extensive background in Operations, Loss Prevention and Process Improvement, Marvin has 23 years of retail experience.Prior to joining The Home Depot, Marvin spent 15 years with Target Stores in a variety of operational roles. Reading, studying Presidential history and playing the bass guitar are the activities Marvin enjoys.He is actively involved with KaBOOM! playground builds and inner city school renovations/improvements. Marvin earned a Business Administration degree in marketing from the University of Memphis, and a Master of Business Administration from Emory University.
