Who is Michael Lington?

Michael Lington is a Danish-American contemporary saxophonist, songwriter, producer and recording artist. He is the grandson of Danish composer and band leader Otto Lington and has released 8 solo albums and 15 Radio and Records/Billboard radio singles. He has collaborated with Michael Bolton, Aaron Neville, Randy Crawford, Bobby Caldwell, Kenny Lattimore, Ryan Shaw, Joan Sebastian, Christian Castro and many others.

He is signed to the Agency For The Performing Arts for worldwide representation and has a publishing administration deal with Kobalt Music Publishing. Lington is an ASCAP songwriter/publisher and is a 17 year voting member of the Recording Academy He is a Yamaha Saxophone, Vandoren reeds and Sennheiser performing artist.

Lington's most recent album Soul Appeal was released April 8, 2014 by Copenhagen Music. His CD "Heat" reached #4 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Sales Chart. It entered the Billboard Heat Seeker chart at #39 and was named Jazztrax Album of the Year in 2008. Lington's duet with Aaron Neville, "That's When You Save Me", tied as Jazztrax Best Vocal Song of the Year. You & I, the first single from Heat, went to #2 on the national R&R chart.
