Who was Uldarico A. Alviola?

Uldarico A. Alviola was a Filipino Visayan novelist, one of the most important Cebuano language writers. His pseudonyms included Artagnan, Sikatuna, and M. Anabell.Also a distinguished lexicographer who made numerous claims on the origins of words, he was the editor of Ang Suga Magazine in Cebu Normal University, and several other Spanish language publications.

In 1962 he received the LUDABI award for his contributions to Cebuano culture. He was also once a Deputy Governor of Cebu, one of the provinces of the Philippines.
