Who is Vuk Orle?

Vuk 'Crnogorac' Orle, was the leader of a fortress town named Orlov Grad. Orlov Grad, also known as Soko Grad, is in the area of Sokolske Planine of Podrinjska. This area is also named Podrinjska Crna Gora, because its mountainous region is a lot like Crna Gora and it is said this is how Vuk got his lastname of Crnogorac.

Since Vuk Crnogorac was a leader, he held the title of Vojvoda. Vojvoda Vuk Crnograc also held the rank of eagle in the Serbian Army.

Vojvode Vuk Crnogorac-Orle married the sister of Vojvoda Damjan Tomkovic of Duklja. They had three sons:

⁕Milija Crnogorac

⁕Pavle Orlovic

⁕Martin Orlovic

Both Pavle and Martin got their lastname Orlovic, after the rank of Orle their father had.

According to Serbian legend, Vuk Crnogorac was the great-grandson of King Radoslav Nemanjic and was the only one in the family that anybody trusted with military issues.
