Ali A. Soliman

Who is Ali A. Soliman?

Dr Ali Soliman has a B.Sc. (Honors) in Economics from Cairo University, and a Ph. D. in Economics from the University of Iowa, USA.

He is currently visiting Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University (www.feps.edu.eg), and at the Business School of Misr International University (www.miuegypt.edu.eg). He is also Chairman of the UN- Association of International Civil Servants, an Egyptian NGO (2014-). He also taught economics at a number of other Universities in Egypt and the US.

He also served as Senior Undersecretary, Ministries of Economy and International Cooperation, Egypt, 1992- 2001; and CEO and General Manager of a financial institution in Jeddah, and as Economic Advisor to the governments of the Maldives (under a World Bank/UNDP project) and of Saudi Arabia.

Dr Soliman has published ten books and contributes widely in magazines and newspapers.
