Who is Mark Eaton?

Mark brings 24 years of industry experience designing, developing and

implementing mission-critical systems for the financial services and

enterprise software markets to NorthStar. Mark's expertise in financial

services ranges from program and brokerage trading systems to financial

advice applications. Prior to joining NorthStar, Mark led a team at

mPower that designed a sophisticated B2B architecture providing data

integration and single sign-on capability between partner web sites and

the mPower financial advice application, streamlining the delivery of

services to their clients. At Iris Financial Engineering and Systems,

Mark led a team that developed a program trading system that handled in

excess of £1,000,000,000 in daily trade volume, allowing a dramatic

increase in profitability for the program trading unit of a major

investment bank. At Advent Software, Mark led a team that designed and

developed a brokerage trade order management supporting multicurrency,

fixed income, and mutual fund instruments as well as enhanced equity

trading functionality such as omnibus trading. The product tripled its

market share within one quarter of its release, with a commensurate

increase in corporate revenue. Mark holds three degrees in Physics from

the University of California, Berkeley, including a PhD in Elementary

Particle Physics.
