Who is Ian Redford?

Ian Redford is a British actor who has featured on stage, in film and on television in various roles, including that of pensioner Keith Appleyard in Coronation Street during 2005 and 2006. During 1990-91 he played the role of Ken Raynor in BBC's EastEnders. He has been an actor for 35 years and has appeared in every theatre in England including the 2,000 seater Shaftesbury Theatre in London's West End and the 200 seater Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, North Yorkshire. He has appeared on television in countless programmes playing anything from villains to barristers and even Henry VIII. Redford has also played the main role of Alfieri in A View from the Bridge, a play written by Arthur Miller. His film career includes The Remains of the Day, The Prince and the Pauper and The Legend of the Boogeyman. He has been nominated for best actor for his role as Creon in Antigone. He has recently completed a tour of A Dish of Tea With Doctor Johnson which he co-wrote with Max Stafford Clark and Russell Barr. He is married, has three children and lives in London.
