Who is Hu Ge?

Hu Ge is an artist and director who was born in China. He is the founder of WAZA which is a platform for new media art forms in China. He has done a lot of work under the name of WAZA and has been holding a lot of lectures and projects in different international art organizations like Ullens Center for Contemporary Art. From large-scale sculptural installations that incorporate photography, video, sound and new media technology to site-specific video and sound projects. Hu Ge started his art career since 1998 at the International Symposium of Electronic arts in Liverpool, England. Since then he has been exhibiting his work through England, Spain, Ireland, Japan, Bangkok and different cities in China, one of his short film has been premiered at the International Guerrilla Video Festival held by a New York art organization and was held in Dublin in 2009, a few other latest pieces including large scale video and sound installations tour around in China. His work Floating Chinese Musicians has been touring around in different cities in China as well as in New York, United States.
