Who is Kane Linnett?

Kane Linnett is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the North Queensland Cowboys of the National Rugby League. A centre, he played in the 2010 NRL Grand Final.

He has signed with the North Queensland Cowboys on a 2 year deal, starting in 2012.

As a youngster Kane played league and Union and could have been playing Super Rugby had he not taken up a deal with the Dragons Toyota Cup side. He was named Roosters rookie of the year in 2010. And was a member of the 2010 NRL grand final team that lost to the Dragons 32-8. In 2010 he averaged over 110 metres per game and scored a try on debut.

In the final rounds of the 2011 NRL season he played with a season-ending injury, helping the Roosters to a win over the Dragons. He joined the Cowboys in 2012 on a two-year contract and was touted by Cowboys management as the possible signing of the year. Linnett scored his first try for the Cowboys in the clubs round 3 match against the Parramatta Eels, in the same game Linnett ran for 'match high metres'. In the Cowboys round 5 win against the Canberra Raiders Linnett made the most metres by a Cowboys centre in the history of the NRL with 234. Linnett was a member of the Cowboys 2012 finals series; which included 1 win and 1 controversial loss. Linnett was apart of the North Queensland Cowboys 2014 Auckland Nines win witch was the cowboys first title in the nrl.
