Who is Daniel Noonan?
Daniel Noonan is an Australian national, Olympic and world-champion rower.
Noonan took up rowing at St Ignatius College, Riverview during his secondary schooling. At Riverview he stroked the school 1st VIII to victory in the Riverview Gold Cup regatta, the first time the Riverview VIII had ever won this race. His senior rowing has been with the Mosman Rowing Club.
Noonan competes in a quad scull and has raced at for Australia at four World Championships winning gold in 2011, bronze in 2010 and silver in 2009. At the 2011 Australian Rowing Championships he raced in a single scull, double scull and the quad, claiming the national title in the 4X.
He competed in the Quad scull at Beijing 2008 for a fourth place in the Olympic final and won a bronze medal from the stroke seat of the Australian Quad at London 2012.
