Who is Pádraic Quinn?
Pádraic Quinn, retired Irish sportsperson, entrepreneur and TV presenter, born 1974.
A native of Indreabhán, County Galway, Quinn moved to France in 1994 to pursue a career as an international cyclist, having already performed in Ireland in the Under-16 and Junior leval. He represented Ireland before retiring, aged 27.
He is now a Tour de France commentator with TG4, and was a founding member of TríSpórt, the first triathlon club established in the Connemara Gaeltacht. He also played a role in establishing the Tour de Connemara, a major new Irish cycling event, first held in May 2011.
