Who is Damodar Acharya?
Damodar Acharya is an Indian engineer and educationist. He has been director of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur since July 2007. His tenure as Director ended on 30 June 2012. Acharya had supported Sibal’s ministry on the proposed single engineering entrance exam. The government has nominated Prof Damodar Acharya as a director on the central board of the Reserve Bank of India in October 2012.
