Who is Kaisa Miettinen?
Kaisa Miettinen is a Finnish mathematician and the Vice Rector of the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. She is a Professor of Industrial Optimization with the Department of Mathematical Information Technology, University of Jyväskylä, Finland. In addition, she heads the Industrial Optimization Group.
Her research interests include multiobjective optimization, multiple criteria decision making, nonlinear programming, evolutionary algorithms, hybrid approaches, as well as various applications of optimization. By 2011, Kaisa Miettinen has supervised 11 PhD theses and, this year, she is supervising four more candidates for PhD theses.
