Who is Cläre Schubert-Feder?
Als Tochter eines Gutsbesitzers in Niederbögendorf (Preuss. Schlesien) besuchte sie die Schule in Schweidnitz, bereiste nach längerer Krankheit 1878 England und bestand auf privater Basis in Zürich die Maturität 1879. Nach Studien in Wien und Zürich, an letzterer Universität bei Sal. Vögelin, J. R. Rahn, Blümner und Jul. Stadler, promovierte sie mit der in Frauenfeld gedruckten Arbeit über «Die Brunnen in der Schweiz, Denkmäler der Kunst-und Culturgeschichte». Sie verließ Zürich, reiste in Italien, war später wieder in England und publizierte in Berlin als Frau Cl. Schubert-Feder Erinnerungen an ihre schweizerische Studienzeit.
