Šejla Kamerić

Who is Šejla Kamerić?

Šejla Kamerić is a Bosnian artist. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, at the Department of Graphic Design. Between 1994 and 1997, she collaborated with the design group Trio, also of Sarajevo. Then she worked as art director for the advertising agency Fabrika until 2000. That year she participated in the Manifesta in Ljubljana. she is Member of the European Cultural Parliament. Since 2007, she has an Artist in Residency grant, DAAD Fellowship, in Berlin. In 2011 Kamerić received the European Cultural Foundation's Princess Margriet Award. In 2012 Kamerić will participate in the 9th Gwangju Biennale. She currently lives and works in Sarajevo and Berlin.
