Who is Adèle of Dreux?

Adèle of Dreux, was a member of Norman French nobility, daughter of Robert I of Dreux and his second wife Hawise of Salisbury. She married firstly Valéran III, Count of Breteuil, secondly Guy II, lord of Châtillon-sur-Marne, thirdly Jean I de Thorotte, and fourthly Raoul III de Nesle, count of Soissons.

She married Valeran III of Breteuil on 24 June 1156, and had the following issue:

Adèle, married Raoul le Roux had issue.

Amicia married 1. Baldwin de Yerres, 2. John Briard & 3. Gauthier de Rinsel and had issue.

Mahaut married Simon of Clermont and had issue.

After Valeran's death in 1162 she married secondly Guy II of Châtillon-sur-Marne and had:

Alix and had issue.

Walter III of Châtillon married Elizabeth of St. Pol and had issue.

She married thirdly John I de Thorotte and had:

John married Odette de Dampierre and had issue.

Her final marriage was to Raoul III de Nesle with whom she had

Gertrude married Matthew de Montmorency, and had issue.

Eleanor married Stephen of Sancerre, and had issue.
