Who is Adam Henry?

Adam Henry is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the wide receivers coach at Louisiana State University, a position he assumed in February 2012. Henry has previously served as tight ends coach for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League.

The Beaumont, Texas native was an all-conference wide receiver at McNeese State University and remains in the school’s all-time top-10 among receivers. Henry has a master’s degree in Education.

He signed with New Orleans as a free agent in 1994 and also spent training camp and the preseason with the Saints in 1995 and 1996. Henry was an offensive coordinator, assistant head coach and receivers coach at McNeese State. Henry, also served a coaching internship with Cleveland Browns.

From 2007 until 2008, Henry spent his first two years with the Raiders as an offensive quality control assistant. Adam Henry was promoted to tight ends coach in Oakland by head coach Tom Cable in 2009. While he was retained by new Head Coach Hue Jackson in 2011, he was not retained following Jackson's dismissal after his lone season in charge of the Raiders.

He is currently the wide receivers coach for Louisiana State University.
