Who was Adam Zygmunt Sapieha?

Prince Adam Zygmunt Sapieha was a military aviator and cavalry's officer within Polish Army.

He was son of Polish magnate Prince Władysław Leon Sapieha. He was nephew of Polish cardinal Prince Adam Stefan Sapieha. During the World War I he was one of the first aviators within the Austro-Hungarian Imperial and Royal Aviation Troops. Later he became Polish cavalry's officer. On 1 June 1919 he was made lieutenant and later served as an officer within 2nd Light Cavalry Regiment of Rokitna.

On 10 December 1918 in Cracow he was married to Teresa Sobańska who was daughter of Count Michał Maria Sobański and Countess Ludwika Wodzicka. Adam Zygmunt and Teresa had eight children:
