Who is Adelaïde Ehrnrooth?
Adelaide Ehrnrooth was Finnish feminist and writer. Adelaide Ehrnrooth was among 16 children of the family. John Casimir Ehrnrooth was her brother.
Adelaide Ehrnrooth proposed the voting rights for women already in 1869.
Her contribution was essential in the start of the first Finnish women organization in 1884 Suomen Naisyhdistys. Its goal was equality of women and men. Later based on conflicts she was among the founders of the new organization: Naisasialiitto Unioni. She worked actively in the international tasks.
