Who is Aditya Koolwal?

Aditya Koolwal is Product Manager at Facebook. Prior to that he was Mobile Products Lead at Spool. He is a graduate of Stanford University.

Aditya Koolwal completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford in 2009. His research focused on surgical navigation using image and sensor fusion. During his graduate studies, Aditya started Fluid Medical, an intravascular ultrasound imaging company that was eventually acquired by Volcano Corporation. He was also an early employee at Hansen Medical, a robotic surgery company, where he spent 5 years as a research scientist and manager. In 2011, Aditya worked on a content-recognition startup called Spool, which was acquired by Facebook in 2012. Since then, he has served as the Product Manager responsible for News Feed ranking.
