Who is Alan Anderson?

Alan Anderson is a Scottish former professional footballer. Anderson was a center half who played for Alloa Athletic, Falkirk, Millwall, Scunthorpe United and Hearts. Anderson was the Hearts team captain for over 200 games. Although never achieving a full international cap, he made seven appearances for a Scotland XI in their tour of Asia and Oceania in 1967, playing alongside Alex Ferguson. The Scotland XI won every game with Alan at center half.

After long service and 38 goals for Heart of Midlothian F.C. he ended his career on the first of May 1976.
