Who is Alan Astbury?
Alan Astbury FRS is a Canadian physicist, professor emeritus at University of Victoria, and was director of the Tri-Universities Meson Facility laboratory.
He led a group from the Rutherford-Appleton Laboratory who confirmed the existence of the W particle. He was president of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics.
