Who was Alice Borchardt?

Alice Borchardt was a writer of historical fiction, fantasy, and horror. She lived in Houston and was sister of novelist Anne Rice, sister-in-law to poet Stan Rice, and aunt to novelist Christopher Rice. Alice Borchardt shared a childhood of storytelling with her sister in New Orleans. A professional nurse, she also nurtured a profound interest in little-known periods of history.
