Who was Ana María Romero de Campero?

Ana María Romero de Campero was a Bolivian journalist, writer, activist and influential public figure in her country. She was the first Human Rights Ombudswoman of Bolivia and President of the Senate of Bolivia at the time of her death. Ana María Romero dedicated her life to promoting democracy and human rights with particular regard for those most disadvantaged in Bolivian society.
