Who is Andres Cortes?
Andres Ulises Cortes is an American architect, best known for his personification of an architect in the Samsung Galaxy Note television commercial.
Born into a family of builders in Bogotá, Colombia, Cortes emigrated to Miami Florida in 1984. He studied architecture at the University of Michigan and Cortes worked, before establishing his own firm Agencie Group in 2007. In 2011, Cortes won the UrbanSHED competition sponsored by the New York City department of buildings redesign of scaffolding for the City of New York.
