Who was Angel Guerrero?

Angel Guerrero was born on December 26, 1945 in Aguas Clara, a municipality from the province of Seibo located east of the Dominican Republic. He is the son of Consuelo Guerrero and Anisete Jiménez

In his childhood he dedicated himself to growing beans and cocoa with his godfather and his brother Julio Guerrero.

In his adolescence, he left for the city of San Pedro de Macorís with his family.

When he was 18 years old he started working as a tractor driver in

El 14) municipality of La Romana where he met his wife Altagracia Carrión. Iris who inspired him to start writing songs, who he then married.

He returned to the city of San Pedro de Macorís where shortly thereafter in 1972 Iris meets Marino Pérez in the Loma del Cochero area where she lived with her husband Angel Guerrero. Iris makes friends with Marino Pérez and talks to him about her

husband Angel Guerrero who liked to compose and sing. Iris tells Marino that she can help Angel present money to the owners of the recording studio center.

Guerrero where he released his first 2 songs, Querida and El Hijo De La Soledad.

announcers Domingo García, on Radio Dial, Edwin Emmanuel on Radio Este.

His first event was the Tételo Vargas Stadium in San Pedro de Macorís next to several artists where there he received the support of a large number of followers of his songs of him. Guerrero popularized several songs among them. El Hijo De La Soledad, Querida, Fuego Encendido, La Pasaremos Tomando, Quiero Tener Un Amor, Beberé Hasta Que Muera, among others, were arrangements of his wife Iris.

Angel Guerrero was one of the greats of Bachata Romantica and Bachatas de Amargue acclaimed by many of his followers, which helped him obtain recoil plates by several companies both in the city of La Romana as well as in San Pedro de Macorís.

They had 8 children with his wife Iris who are. Narda, Leandro, Ney, Raisa, Kasandra, Yino, Lony, and Claudio.

In 1993 he recorded his last production entitled Mis Sentimientos, which includes the Cuando Me Recuerdo De Ella, Detrás De Mi Casa, etc.

On August of 1995, he left for the island of Aruba where he spent 1 year and 4 months where he

He falls ill and is diagnosed with hepatitis, he decides to return to his country for another check-up.

Where in his country his family, wife and children face the sad

It was actually a malignant tumor in the pancreas.

Angel Guerrero was treated by several doctors, his wife and his 8 children in what was his

residence located in the Barrio Lindo San Pedro de Macorís sector where he did not miss the love and affection of his family.

On August 20, 1997 at 9PM, Angel Guerrero died in what was his residence in the Barrio Lindo sector.

The next day the media announced his death. The

city of San Pedro de Macorís, upon hearing such unfortunate news, they approached his residence where his remains were laid to rest, along with a large crowd of people.

They played the music of Angel Guerrero where they followed him to his last resting place in

the San Pedro necropolis/Santa Fe cemetery where they played, singing their songs and crying for the loss of him.

Angel Guerrero's songs are still alive on all radio stations and in hearts of his fans who still follow him despite such a long absence.

Also known as El Romantico Del Este, he wrote music that was about love and the feeling.
