Who is Apeyadana?
Apeyadana was the chief queen consort of King Kyansittha of Pagan Dynasty of Burma and maternal grandmother of King Alaungsithu of Pagan. She married Kyansittha when he was just a young officer in the army.
The Apeyadana Temple in Bagan is named after the queen.
