Who is Arturo Antonio Szymanski Ramírez?

Arturo Antonio Szymanski Ramírez is a Mexican prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.

Symanski was born in Tampico and ordained a priest on March 22, 1947 . Symanski was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of San Andrés Tuxtla as well as titular bishop of Cerasus on April 20, 1960 and was ordained bishop on June 21, 1960. Symanski succeeded bishop Jesús Villareal y Fierro a short time after his death on March 21, 1965 to the Diocese of San Andrés Tuxtla. On August 13, 1968 Symanski was appointed bishop of the Diocese of Tampico and would remain at the Tampico diocese until 1987. Symanski was appointed archbishop of the Archdiocese of San Luis Potosí on January 27, 1987 where he would remain until his retirement on January 20, 1999.
