Who is B. S. Sahay?

B. S. Sahay is the founding director of the Indian Institute of Management. Prior to joining the IIM, Sahay was the director of the Management Development Institute and the Institute of Management Technology.

Sahay obtained his PhD degree in industrial engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He was also an adjunct professor at the School of International Business, Queensland University of Technology and founding chairman of the Centre for Supply Chain Management. Sahay was principal coordinator for the Quality Improvement Programme in Management, sponsored by the All India Council for Technical Education. He has published 135 research papers and 18 books. Sahay is a member of the editorial boards of the International Journal of Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Journal of Enterprise Information Management, Business Process Management Journal, International Journal of Services and Standards, International Journal of Mobile Learning and Organisation, and Journal of Indian Business Research. In addition, he was the founding editor of the International Journal of Value Chain Management. Sahay is on the board of the Decision Sciences Institute and the All India Management Association, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, He is on the advisory board of several universities and organisations and a Fellow of the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering.
