There was a conspiracy against then president Ranasingha Premadasa to bring impeachment. Then Premadas called and asked Basheer segu Dawood to take oath to parliament and join his hands. Basheer Segu Dawood accepted his request when some of his demands fulfilled by Premadasa and entered to the parliament in late 1989.
