Who is Bilal Hajji?

Bilal Hajji, sometimes also known as The Chef is a lyricist, songwriter and record producer based in Sweden who has written or co-written many charting hits on the music charts in many countries. He is known for collaborating with record producer RedOne and with AJ Junior.

His early success came through co-writing songs for Alexandra Burke, Lady Gaga, Sean Kingston, Kat DeLuna and Swedish acts Darin Zanyar and Mohombi. He achieved recognition for his work in 2005, firstly with the Darin song "Step Up," which reached #1 in Sweden and later won him and frequent collaborator RedOne both a Swedish Grammy and Scandinavian Song of the Year award.

Later hits written or co-written by him include songs for Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Nicole Scherzinger, Akon, One Direction, Niki Minaj, Khaled amongst others.
