Who is Bill Robertson?
Bill Robertson (born Manchester, August 22, 1984) is an English soccer player who currently plays as a defender for the New Zealand Football Championship club Hawkes Bay United. Robertson was a product of the English Football Association's Education Programme, before going on to play semi-professionally in the UK. He then had a brief stint in the United States with the San Francisco Seals before signing for Canterbury United of the New Zealand Football Championship in 2007. In two years with the Christchurch based franchise, Robertson was named club captain and won the Player of the Year award in consecutive seasons. Robertson then signed for Hawkes Bay United for the 2009/10 NZFC, but suffered a fractured leg and dislocated ankle in his first appearance.
