Who is Bryan Monroe?
Bryan Monroe is an award-winning journalist, educator and entrepreneur. He is the editor of CNNPolitics.com, where he is responsible of the digital side of CNN’s political coverage. He was previously the vice president and editorial director of Ebony and Jet magazines, at Johnson Publishing Co., as well as a visiting professor at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
Monroe also helped lead the team of journalists from Knight Ridder and the Biloxi Sun Herald, who won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize Gold Medal for Public Service for coverage of Hurricane Katrina.
He was the 16th President of the National Association of Black Journalists.
