Charles Allen Clarke, most widely known as C. Allen Clarke was an English working-class humorist, novelist, journalist and social investigator from Lancashire. An ILP member and friend of Robert Blatchford, Clarke succeeded Joseph Burgess as editor of the Yorkshire Factory Times.
