Who is Carl Summers?

Carl Summers, known by his stage name Carl Rogel, is an American singer, songwriter, and producer. He was with a band known as The Continentals and trained under Barry White in 1969.

He was known as Carl Rogel, signed to Stax Records' Enterprise label in 1974. He also performed as an alternate lead singer and harmony singer with original The Coasters - Will "Dub" Jones, Billy Guy, Cornell Gunter, Young Jessie, Adolph Jacobs for thirty four years.

As a producer, he produced Joe Tex, Edwin Starr and Band of Gypsys for Haze Records. He sang with DJ Rogers' Choir on Edwin Hawkins' records.

As a background singer, he sang on Edwin Hawkins' records and on the D.J. Rogers' albums for RCA Records.
