Who is Charles D. Schaper?
Charles D. Schaper is the President and CEO of TDI, and the founder of TDI. His current job involves setting the direction and strategy for the company, managing product and business development, and leading research, production, financing, and operations.
Prior to TDI, Dr. Schaper was with Stanford University in the electrical engineering department as a senior research associate from 1997-2005, as a research associate from 1991-1996, and as a postdoctoral scholar in 1990. In addition to conducting the research on molecular transfer lithography that led to the founding of TDI in 2004, he has published numerous technical papers on probablistic robust control theory, as well as on applications of multivariable control in rapid thermal processing and chemically amplified photoresist processing systems. While at Stanford, Dr. Schaper also assisted in the management of research teams in advanced semiconductor manufacturing, sponsored by funding from DARPA and NSF. He received a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and an M.S. and B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Connecticut.
