Who is Christie Hefner?

Christie Hefner became the President of Playboy Enterprises, the company founded by her father Hugh Hefner, in 1982 and the Chairman and CEO in 1988. She was born in Chicago Illinois, in 1958, to Hugh and Millie Williams. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brandeis University with a BA in English and American literature, 1974. She joined Playboy in 1975 and worked in various positions until 1979 when she became Vice President and was declared as Heir Apparent by Hugh. She created the Hugh M. Hefner First Amendment Award and has been active in a lot of philantrophic organizations. She helped raise money for CORE center in Chicago, helped found the National Runaway Switchboard in Chicago.
