Who is Colleen Farrington?
Colleen Leigh Farrington is an American model and nightclub singer. She is the mother of Academy Award-nominated actress Diane Lane. She was also Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its October 1957 issue. Her pictorial was photographed by Peter Basch.
Farrington was born in Davisboro, Georgia. Before becoming a Playmate, Farrington was a fashion model in New York City and was a particular favorite of fashion designer Oleg Cassini. She also had some acting roles.
She eventually married acting coach Burt Lane and divorced him in 1965, shortly after her daughter, Diane was born; she later settled in Georgia.
