Who is D.J. Heckes?

D.J. Heckes is the author of, Full Brain Marketing for the Small Business, and the founder of EXHIB-IT! Trade Show Marketing Experts in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Heckes just received the Top Performing CEO award in 2010 from NM Business Weekly. Heckes is actively involved in seven chambers in New Mexico and Texas, and is past President of the New Mexico Chapter of the American Marketing Association, where she achieved Chapter of the Year in 2005 for the NM Chapter. A North Carolina native, Heckes has an associate’s degree in Pre-law and a B.A. in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. In June 2009, Heckes founded Studio E Design and Production as her second company. Her many volunteer roles include: Ambassador for the Albuquerque Economic Development, Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, and National Professional Board for the American Marketing Association. Heckes remains active in the National Association of Women Business Owners, E-Women Communications and Women in Communications. Heckes is a Past President of the NM American Marketing Association and incoming President for Albuquerque Independent Business Alliance.

Heckes frequently presents at nationwide conferences, and has many times been a keynote for those conferences. Her areas of expertise are wide, but some of the main topics she presents on are: leadership, secrets of success, exhibit marketing, social media marketing, booth camps, organizational management and communication within businesses. Some of the organizations for which Heckes speaks include: Women’s Business Council, YWCA Institute for Leadership and Diversity, NM Entrepreneur Summit and Sandia National Laboratories.
