Who is Daly Cherry-Evans?
Daly Cherry-Evans is an Australian professional rugby league player for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the National Rugby League. He primarily plays at Halfback. He made his NRL debut in the 2011 NRL season, playing in all of Manly's 27 matches, winning the NRL premiership, and being named the NRL's Dally M Rookie of the Year and the Rugby League International Federation's world halfback of the year. He has also represented Australia in Test matches and Queensland in State of Origin.
Cherry-Evans was named after one of his English-born mother's favourite British athletes, 1980 and 1984 Olympic Games Decathlon Gold Medallist Daley Thompson.
