Who was Daniel Oeri?
Schweizer Kaufmann. Der jüngere Bruder von Jacob Burckhardts Schwager Johann Jakob Oeri besuchte in Lausanne die Schule und wandte sich trotz Neigung zur Mathematik dem kaufmännischen Berufe zu, allerdings ohne Erfolg. Als Hauptmann machte er den Sonderbundskrieg mit und lebte später in Zürich.
