Who is David Ilan?

Artist David Ilan got a big break more than a decade ago when actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld took an interest in his work. Ilan ended up drawing the entire cast of the hit television show“Seinfeld.” Since that time, he has drawn numerous celebrities who posed for him in person. The drawings have been placed in the celebrities’ personal collections and also been used to raise funds for charities.

He expanded the scope and purpose behind his art through Points With Purpose, and art project dedicated to survivors of sexual abuse or assault. Following the death of famed entertainer Michael Jackson, Ilan became the principle artist to create a Tribute Portrait of the King of Pop composed of one million dots. Jackson fans from around the world have lent their support to the project as have a number of high profile celebrities.
