Dominick Leonard DiCarlo was a member of the New York State Assembly, 1965–81; Ronald Reagan's first Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics Matters, 1981–84; and a United States federal judge, 1984-1999. His son Robert DiCarlo served as a New York State Senator from 1993-1997.
